Chess Free Review

Chess Free reviewerMarc

I've always been a fan of playing chess, especially as a kid learning how to play against my dad, but it's not always the most simple game to play if you haven't had enough games under your belt to build a strategy.

It's been years since I was able to play the game on an actual chess set, so I've been searching for the perfect app to get back into playing the game again without struggling against more experienced players or difficult CPU opponents.

Develop A Strategy With The Tutor

One of the most difficult things to learn when you first start playing chess is that you have to be able to think ahead. Imagine where your opponent will make their next move, are any of your vital pieces in danger of being taken?

If you're new to the game this can be one of the most daunting things to master, but the developers have added an AI tutor that will show you how to properly move all the pieces as well as show you the next best move to make depending on your expertise level.

See All Possible Moves

You don't always have to use the tutor to show you all of the ways you can move a piece on the board. If you've never played the game, or if you're rusty like I am, you may need a quick refresher on all the different ways that each piece is permitted to move.

All you have to do is hold your finger over the piece you are considering as your next move and bright dots will illuminate each square of the board that the specific piece can move to.

Fun For Every Player

It might sound like Chess Free is catered to newcomers to the game, but rest assured that there are over nine different difficulties to choose from in the game, so you'll definitely be able to find a challenge if you're already an expert at chess.

Chess Free is a free to play chess app that will allow you to practice with computers or play against your friends if you like. Head to the play store to download Chess Free to master the art of playing chess.
