Gmail Review

Gmail reviewerMarc

Gmail is probably the most popular under the email services, especially on android.

Google trumps out other providers with more space, better UI, better spam detection and speed.

Anti-Virus And Malware Detection

What I like most about their anti-virus and malware filtering is that it never even reaches my computer.

As soon as the offending email with malicious attachment arrives on Googles Gmail servers, it is already filtered out and the attachment quarantined.

I have used quite a few email clients so far, and found Googles Gmail to be the best in filtering out unwanted or straight up malicious emails.

Gmail Integration Into All Their Services

Gmail by default is integrated into all of Googles other services, like Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets and so forth.

This makes Gmail an effective office solution, even in their free version, when compared  to other clients.

Performance

Even though Microsofts Outlook has made big strides in offering a more user-friendly UI, in my opinion it does not compare to Gmail in any way.

Whenever I log into my Gmail account, everything loads instantly, with other providers I often have it that their UI feels clunky, some elements take forever to load (especially if ads are shown).

I really appreciate the swiftness of Gmail.

Gmail Reply Feature

This is one of the few things I don't like about Gmail. The reply to / reply all window is very small and awkward to navigate. It's not unusable, just a minor annoyance in my experience.

Conclusion

Gmail in my book, is absolutely necessary on my mobile phone. It's made my email activities a lot more enjoyable and faster, who likes to waste time writing or looking for emails?
