Messages Review

Messages not only allows you to communicate through texting, but you can also send and receive audio messages through the app, take, send and receive videos and pictures directly in the app, and even look back on the history between different contacts that you've communicated with through the app.

Smart Replies

Although my smartphone, and many others, have the ability to check your spelling and even give you a selection of words it thinks you're going to type, it's not always a very reliable source.

Messages by Google learns how you communicate through text and will give you smart replies to cut down on your texting time. This means that when you start a sentence or message with someone, the app will provide you with fully typed out phrases or words that you can input into your message.

Send and Receive Money

One of the more interesting features of Messages allows you to select a contact in which you want to send money to and send a quick and straightforward payment through Google Pay.

You won't have to worry about any of your payment information being phished from the application either, as Google has implemented encryptions to keep hackers and thieves at bay.

Dark Mode

Instead of having to turn the display brightness down on your device, simply choose the dark mode setting in Messages for a more comfortable communication experience.

Most other messaging services I've used in the past don't have a dark mode, so I'm usually forced to turn the brightness down so that I don't hurt my eyes. I love that Messages includes a dark mode so that if I have to text someone in dim lighting that I can do so without irritating my eyes.

Messages by Google offers so many advanced features that it puts my standard texting application to shame. This is the perfect app for those who are continually texting with loved ones or sending essential files and information to peers through messaging.

You can easily look back at what you've sent someone by using the extensive search option in the app. So, if you spend most of your time texting on your phone, then you should have Messages in your mobile library.
