My Talking Tom 2

My Talking Tom 2 Description

Virtual pets are a fantastic option for families with children who have been begging for a pet. Most kids go through a phase at one point or another where they repeatedly ask their parents for a pet of their own. If adopting a pet isn't in your budget or you don't have the time or energy to care for an animal properly, then My Talking Tom 2 might be the solution you've been searching for.

The game is free to download and teaches kids all about the importance of caring for something and someone other than themselves. You'll need to feed, bathe, play with and nurture Tom so that he can grow from an adorable kitten to a full-grown cat.

Softer Graphics

My Talking Tom 2 has taken a different approach to the way Tom is animated. His features are more subtle and softer than the first title, which makes him all the more appealing to young children. The bright colors and adorable pets that live with Tom will surely keep them entertained until it's time to put Tom into bed for a nap.

Toy Box

As with any pet, you have to play with Tom to keep him happy. My Talking Tom 2 not only offers the same silly mimicking features from the first game, but Tom also has a plethora of toys waiting to come out of the toy box. You can play with him on a trampoline, with basketballs, and even a toy plane!

Limited Playtime

My only frustration with games like My Talking Tom 2 is that you are limited to the amount of time you can actually engage with Tom. Because the game is realistic in the sense that Tom gets hungry and needs to be fed, taken to the bathroom, and put down for a nap, there comes a time during the game when Tom becomes too sleepy to play, so you have to wait several hours for him to perk up.

Although the limitation to the gameplay might be frustrating at times, it also helps me to pry the device away from my children when they've had enough of watching him lay in bed.

When taking care of a pet, especially a cat, it's just as essential to give them some space as it is to shower them with affection, so the limitation's on time may actually help kids understand when it's time to leave the cat alone when you decide it's time for a real furry friend.
