PPSSPP - PSP emulator Review

Has there ever been a game that you wanted to play, but you didn't have the proper console or platform to play it? Over the years, I've come to miss the games I used to play on the consoles of yesteryear that I no longer own, but with emulators on the rise, it's never impossible to play something without the proper console.

Transfer Saves From PSP

The best part about having the PPSSPP app on your device is that you can bring your saved game files to your phone from an actual PSP. So, if you're using your phone as a sort of replacement PSP, you can transfer all of your saved games to keep your progression.

This can also be helpful if something happens to your PSP that is causing it to malfunction. At least with the PPSSPP app, you won't be at a complete loss with your PSP gaming experience.

Skip Cut Scenes

As much as I love playing an adventure game with lots of story behind the characters and events taking place, I get tired of sitting through multiple cut scenes to get back to the action.

PPSSPP has a feature which lets you speed up the gameplay to bypass any of the cut scenes that might put a damper on your experience.

Doesn't Come With Games

Although there are a few free internet games you can play on PPSSPP, the emulator doesn't actually come with any preinstalled PSP games as most other emulators would.

This can be frustrating if you're looking for a means to play games that you don't own, but you can always borrow games from a friend and install them onto your phone through the PPSSPP app.

Whether you have a PSP that's going on the fritz and you need a replacement, or you want to be able to borrow games from friends and play them on your phone, PPSSPP is a free option that will only enhance your PSP gaming experience. Be sure to download the app from the play store to get started.
