Sketch - Draw & Paint

Sketch - Draw & Paint

Sketch - Draw & Paint Description

I have always loved playing with art supplies and trying to create something fun and exciting to share with others or enjoy for myself. If you enjoy drawing, painting, animating, or even just sketching crude drawings, then you should consider downloading the Sketch app from Sony.

Sketch is the perfect app for anyone who likes to be creative. So, whether you are an artist yourself or have a child who can't get enough of doodling, then Sketch just might be the next app to add to your mobile arsenal. Every level of artist is welcome, so don't be afraid to let your creative flag fly with Sketch.

Find Inspiration In The Community

Although it appears that the option might be removed in September 2019, the app offers an online community full of creative people that have uploaded their work for the world to see.

Just because you might be a creative person, it doesn't mean that you're never out of ideas and drawing a blank. So, head to the Sketch community and check out what other artists are whipping up if you need to find some inspiration.

Extensive Editing Tools

I couldn't believe how many tools are included in this mobile app. If you've ever used Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator, then you will probably be familiar with a lot of the tools available in Sketch.

You can crop parts of your image, change the drawing tool you're using, and even add filters and effects to pictures you have in your phone's photo reel. Sketch will also let you rotate, flip, and scale your work if you need it to change the way something is positioned. There is also a text box option so that you can include writing in your artwork too!

Zoom For Precision

If you've ever tried to draw something very intricate, then you are probably wondering how that would work on a mobile device. Firstly, Sketch will work with either your finger or a stylus, so you can always draw or paint in the way that's most comfortable for you.

You can also zoom in to your image to work on fine details and make sure that everything in your picture is precise and exactly as you want it.

I don't have a lot of money to throw at a craft store for art supplies, so the Sketch app has definitely brought back a sense of freedom when it comes to creating new artwork. I also love that you don't have to pay an arm and a leg for the service, in fact, it's free!
