WhatsApp Wallpaper Description

There are tons of messaging apps on the mobile market nowadays, but WhatsApp has been a popular choice among smartphone users for years. Most of the apps that I have personally used to communicate with friends and family haven't had an option to spice up the user interface or background in any way.

When I discovered WhatsApp Wallpaper in the play store, I knew I wanted to give the app a shot. It appeared as though there would be several excellent background options to use with WhatsApp, so I was initially excited to spruce up my chatting experience.

Easy To Use

If you're using WhatsApp Wallpaper for the first time, keep in mind that you won't have to find a separate app to find your wallpapers. Simply start your conversation in WhatsApp and head to the menu option to select WhatsApp Wallpapers.

Once you get the hang of going to the drop-down menu, it's easy to find a background you like to customize your chatting experience. You can always go back to the list to change the wallpaper at any time if you decide you don't like the one you chose.

Limited Options

When I initially started using WhatsApp Wallpaper, I expected to have a plethora of unique and beautifully animated backgrounds for my messages. However, I quickly learned that you only have roughly 30 options to choose from, and some of them are about as detailed as a 1980s computer background.

I did find a few wallpapers that I like, but I'm disappointed in the lack of options for different times of the year like holidays and special events. There are so many more exciting wallpapers that could be included in the app, but it doesn't seem like the developers do much with the service anymore.

No Updates

It's been years since the app has seen an update or refresh of any kind. As a matter of fact, the developers haven't seemed to care about the app much since 2011.

There are also no in-app stores to offer payable wallpapers, so don't bother looking for one if you decide to download the app.

WhatsApp Wallpaper is a promising app that holds so much potential. If you're okay with only having a handful of basic options, then you will have no problems with the app. However, if you're like me and like to change it up regularly, then you might want to keep searching.
